Big Dave Gouda - raised by monkeys in the outback of Australia in 1935, Big Dave travelled to England in search of sausages and the essence of 80s music. Big Dave gathered musicians from every corner of the room to form the joyous Fondue total 80s Cheese.
LIKES: Cheese, jam, perfectly formed knee pads
DISLIKES: Suction cups, malalligned magnets, jam
STAR SIGN: Ferret
As his name suggests, Richard is the baby of the band. In fact, he’s so young he was barley out of nappies by the time the 80’s had finished. It’s fortunate then his favourite movie is ‘Back to the Future’ … and in his own musical time machine he’s never left the 80’s.
A hugely talented player… how else could we have Van Halen on the setlist?… He doesn’t come quietly.
When not cleaning his guitar collection, Rich can be found passing in tips of the trade via the Oxfordshire Music School.
Phew! A real musician. Unlike the rest of us Jason Mozzarella does not need to shop online for music memorabilia, he has he own. A member of one of Oxfords best loved late 90’s exports, ‘Jas da Bass’ has since laid down tracks to launch careers of other well known names.
Here in Fondue - Total 80’s Cheese, we’re honoured to have him.
James Philadelphia is soft and white and will let you dip your celery stick in him day or night.
His keyboard skills are smooth and creamy, the girls say his backside is cute and dreamy.
Whether you want to hear Jump or Rio, his keyboard sounds are the real deal.
Keep out of the black and in the red, nothing in this game for two in a bed.
Only in the band, as it would just be ‘too’ 80s to have a drum machine, Ben Wensleydale attempts to hone his punk roots and sensibilities to deliver the ‘Roland TR-808’ effect despite being 2 years younger.
Formerly of too many other cover bands to mention, Wensleydale has also adorned an eclectic set of stages, including appearing at the UK’s biggest Punk Festival.
